Dear Members,

It is with great regret that I announce the closure of our branch as of 11th September 2025.

The main reasons for the closure is a lack of volunteers to form the Committee, replacing those that are no longer with us, or are unable to continue due to age or ill health.

Our very dedicated treasurer and welfare officer Reg Haywood has been a constant support, as has Alyson Dean our Hon Secretary, but over the past couple of years it has often been just the three of us at meetings and organising events along with my wife and President Bee Would.

The closure of our Branch does not effect your RAFA membership, you can join another Branch, and can still get support from the RAFA Welfare officers.

A sad ending for a branch that has awarded over £500,000 in aid to former RAF Personnel and their families.
